Polyimide, Paper and Aluminum Barcode Tags

The Polyonics tags are designed for barcode and/or alphanumeric identification of products in extremely and/or harsh environments. The tags can withstand the high temperatures encountered in many steel mill and factory processes plus they provide high tear resistances making them ideal choices for tracking materials from manufacturing through to customer delivery.

Polyimide
The POLYONICS XF-610 and XF-612 are a double coated, 5 mil high temperature polyimide bar code tags with thermal transfer printable surfaces on both sides of the tag. The XF-610 has a gloss white surface on one side and matte white on the other, while the XF-612 has gloss yellow surfaces on both sides.  Both tags withstand operational temperatures of 300-400°C and short term temperature of 600°C.

Paper
The XF-608 is a high temperature paper laminate material designed to operate as a barcode tag in 200°C environments with short term exposures to 250°C. It’s unique formulation allows high resolution thermal transfer printing with a wide variety of ribbons, provides a very high tear resistance and minimum curl at high temperatures.

Aluminum
XT-660 is a white single coated 9mil aluminum composite with an operational temperature range of 350-450°C and short exposures of 500°C. All coatings are designed for thermal transfer printing and are receptive to manual marking with crayons, Sharpies, etc.
