  • The surface on which the tape is to be applied should be clean, dry and free of any surface contamination, such as dust, or or rust. Isopropyl alcohol would be a recommended solvent to clean the surface.

Polyonics Introduces Engineered Tapes and Label Materials That Protect Static Sensitive Optoelectronic Devices from Harmful ESD Events
Polyonics makes antistatic tapes and label materials with static dissipative surface resistances and low tribocharging pressure sensitive adhesives (PSA) that allow them to protect static sensitive optoelectronic devices such as LEDs, photo and laser diodes, solar cells, etc. and help prevent harmful electrostatic discharge (ESD) events.

Polyonics Announces Expanded Antistatic Tape Product Line:
New Materials, Thinner Constructions, New Coatings and New PSAs Polyonics has recently expanded its antistatic tape and film portfolio to include a wider variety of single and double coated amber and black polyimide and clear and white polyester (PET) constructions. New thinner 40 µm (1.6 mil) antistatic tapes and 13 µm (0.5 mil) antistatic films have also been added for space constrained applications with specially developed matte black coatings available to match specific color and gloss specifications.

Polyonics Introduces High Temperature Bonding Systems for Static Sensitive Devices
Westmoreland, NH (PRWEB) —Polyonics has introduced a series of double-coated tapes that are designed to protect SSD (static sensitive devices). The tapes are well suited for SMT (surface mount technology) applications and provide a strong, thin conformal bond line while generating a very low peel voltage.
